Nicky Henderson has left the door open for a slope of the Tantalizer Golden Cup with Hill Constitution after the star of the Royal Ascot show was introduced.
The hero of the 2023 champion the hero is set to destroy his things in puschestown on Friday in an attempt to return to the winning ways after falling to both Cheltenham and Aintree so far this spring, but Seven Barrows Handler is tend to give him the opportunity to test his hand in the apartment during the summer.
“Something’s something we have discussed over the past two years to be right,” Henderson told the news agency at Pa.
“Due to the fact that he has had two strokes, you can say that flat races are a good idea, but this is not really a point and it is something we have cheated and discussing a good year or more.
“I know we have educated it on the fences, as you saw in the film that I did on Sunday, but he will not follow and the apartment is another opportunity.
“We have every intention to run at Punkestown on Friday and the plan is to travel on Wednesday, but after that we will take a picture.”
The Hill Constitution team once considered to go over the fences, but running in the flat version of the Golden Cup than in the three-E-Krek-Milje Cheltenham edition seems more likely as it was one of the 25 entrances to one of the royal meeting.
Possible rivals include Kyprios of Aidan O’Brien, who will hope to score a third victory in the One One’s event, the winner of last year’s Jan Brueghel and the double goals of James Owen, Burdett Road, a regular challenger of the Constitution Hill Over Hurdles.
However, there is still much to be considered before the winner of 10 times obstacles is given progress to deviate from the wood for the first time in his illustrative career.
Henderson went on: “I probably not put it, but I certainly not exclude it, otherwise I would not put it in the race.
“There are two obstacles for ASCOT and one is the Earth. Then you have to consider time, it’s June, but then that’s not too far away and it’s not like you have to keep it going forever.
“I will not exclude it, but you also have to consider that he has never been in an initial stall and then he is probably more than a two -mile than a half mile on the obstacles, in this case he even stays two and a half in the apartment?
“Earth would be the most obvious reason not to do it, but every time you get a slow Royal ascot. We just see what happens this week (in punchstown) and the next two weeks too.”
