Gerwyn Price was the chief in Liverpool while defeating Luke Humphries in the final to record his third night victory while Michael Van Gerwen took the best of Luke Little.
Pricemim struck two cracked crackers in 128 and 144 and was destroyed in five 180 to pour cold water in Chris Dobey after last week’s victory in Rotterdam.
The Welshman made him back 6-2 wins after destroying a sub-parish cross with an average of 105 to book his place in the final-where he testified very well for Humphries No 1 World, winning 6-4.
The pricing was broken on the opening leg, but the humphries returned again with a high style 94, D19, D19 at the level before lowering a 155 crushing crate, this time hitting T19, D19 for the foot.
Iceman turned the game to his head by gathering in a scary crate 151 to pull the level at 3-3, and he moved forward with a 13-Darter.
Wales’s pricing cleared 25 to D12 to move one foot away from victory and he did the work done with one foot of 13 arrows to cease one place in the first four.
“I just want to do the first four,” Price said Heavenly. “It doesn’t matter if it’s one, two, three or four as long as I’m in O2 within a few weeks.
“I managed to get five points today and this facilitates the pressure. I’m playing really well, so there is no reason I can’t win every week.”
The world champion three times John Part said: “I think the price will have to ban some more points just to be on the safe side for play-off but he is looking really good.
“Of all the players besides Littler, he is the most fearless. He will know he can beat anyone if he plays his game.”
MVG battles back to Little stuns
Van Gerwen and Littler renewed their growing rivalry for a place in the semifinals and did not disappoint.
The Dutch turned into a winning way with an excellent win at the German Grand Prix Darts in Munich on Monday, which he hopes can provide the catalyst for his play-off pushing.
But Van Gerwen seemed to be heading to 4-0 down before mounting a sensational return to shock the League leader on a crucial leg – despite six 180 from his opponent – and increase his hopes for Play -off after Little lost the two arrows of the match.
“He has twice as many points than I do. It wasn’t a great game. It was a difficult game from both of whom. He got bored with the crowd,” Van Gerwen said.
“I didn’t play my game and he played well in the beginning. But you have to make sure you believe in your ability and when you get the chances you have to get them.”
Humphries found his Mojo in Merseyside, beating Nathan Asinall 6-3 in the opening match to reach the semifinals.
The fan of Leeds United averaged was a dajak 113 and was clinical in the outer ring – hitting six by nine doubles to strengthen his second place control to reach the Play -off.
Humphries then beat Van Gerwen 6-4 to reach a sixth night final.
‘Cool Hand’ hit a 120 cracking crate and on average 98 in win against seven -time Premier League sample.
