However, Killie would be appropriate compensation from their Rulesus of the Scottish Prime Minister, with McINnes under contract at Rugby Park until 2027.

The 53-year-old is expected to receive training in Kilmarnock on Tuesday and then be in Dugout on Wednesday as his team opposite Motherwell. After that, Kilmarnock faces hearts on the last day of the season.

By talking further Heavenly On Sunday, Mcinnes said: “I am listening that there can be contacts between the clubs, but there is nothing official from my point of view.

“I think in everything, whether you are a player or manager, after the compensation is agreed and the clubs can reach a deal, then she is over to a player and a manager.

“But I need to stress. We’re not at that stage.”

Boyd: mcinnes deserve high work

First Kilmarnock AND Rangers attacker Kris boyd IN Heavenly:

“You see what he did with Aberdeen. They were a fighting club, and the hearts have had a disappointing season.

“It’s not disrespect for Kilmarnock, I have a great connection with them, and they were a fantastic club for me. But you are going to a scene now where Derek is ready to turn into that scene, a big club.

“For me, hearts are the third largest club in the country, you want them to be there challenging and causing problems for Rangers and Celtic.

“Considering the work Derek did in Aberdeen, he deserves to return to that level. People forget, and is easy because of what Derek has achieved in the past, what he has done in Kilmarnock has also been unbelievable.

“I think he deserves another blow to a big club to see if he can cause problems for our two big ones.”
