Champions Kingdom Surrey hit Somersset with eight wins within three days to foam their first victory of the Rothesay County Championship season in the fourth attempt.
Rory Burns’ side – which launched the campaign with three straight draws – reduced the somerses to 39-7, including taking five wins for four runs, as they bowed their opponents to 119 in Kia Oval on Sunday and then achieved their 36th victory target at 5.2 overs.
Surrey Seamers Dan Worrall (3-16) and Jordan Clark (3-24) shared six second-second Wickets, ending the match with eight sculptures after receiving 5-68 on the first day-after visitors fell seven down within 19 overs and were at risk of a loss.
