Britain Katie boutler was eliminated from the competition. Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova gave Bualter a clear direct loss, winning 6-3 6-3.
Britain Cameron Norrie It may have been fortunate to make the main draw as a ‘lucky loser’, but he advanced with a victory over Christopher O’Connell, Australia.
Norrie won in straight groups, 6-3 6-2.
