F1 Academy is back for a new season and you can watch every race in 2025 Live in Sky Sports F1.
After the British Abbi withdrawal dominated last year and was chosen to avoid protecting its titles, all eyes will be with who can become champions in 2025.
The F1 Academy creates a smooth transition from the cartridge of the F1 Feeder series scale, with the possibility of a woman competing in F1 in the future.
The last female driver to participate in a F1 weekend was the management director of the F1 Susie Wolff Academy for Williams at British GP 2014, when she participated in practice.
Lela Lombardi is the last driver to compete in Grand Prix herself in 1976, and she is the only woman to score when she ended up in the Spanish GP of 1975.
What is the F1 Academy?
The F1 Academy was launched in November 2022 by Formula 1 in order to prepare and develop female drivers to enable them to progress to higher levels of competition.
The category is created to “give more access to trail time, races and testing, as well as support with technical, physical and mental preparations”.
It is hoped that the F1 Academy will provide the experience to progress to Formula 3, and help provide Formula 2 opportunities and Formula 1 in the future.
Susie Wolff, the former District Driver of Williams F1 and the last woman to drive to a practical session F1 11 years ago, heads the series as managing director.
Which car is used at Academy F1?
The F1 Academy will see all drivers competing in identical cars – a Tatuus T421 chassis also used in Formula 4.
Cars are powered by turbo loads supplied by Autotecnica and capable of 174 horsepower, while Pirelli supplies tires.
The cars will have a high speed of 240 km per hour (149mp).
What happened in 2024?
Abbi Pulling won nine of the 14 races as she pulled her way to the title, tremendously ending each race on the podium.
The withdrawal won with 121 points over Mercedes Junior Doriana Pin, who won the open season, but an injury to her ribs seemed to knock her trust and shape.
Maya Weug was third in the ranking and won a final of the exciting season in Abu Dhabi, who we hope will continue this year.
Who are the drivers and teams of 2025?
The F1 Academy contains six art teams, Campos, Rodin Carlin, MO MOTORSSPORT, Premia and Hidette New Hitech- each enters three cars to make a network of 18 forces.
All six teams also compete in Formula 3 and Formula 2 and are originally to bring new talent: Lewis Hamilton and George Russell are alumni of art, Lando Norris was given his F2 debut by Campos before competing for Carlin, Charles Leclerc and Mick Schumacher both won the F2 title while MP. Felipipichich.
There will be a new champion of the F1 Academy after the 2024 withdrawal has moved to the GB3 championship. Inaugural champion from 2023 Martha Garcia is competing in sports.
Last year’s Dorian Pin runner will start the season as a favorite and her closest rival of title is expected to be Maya Weug.
Chloe Chambers, Aurelia Nobels, Aurelia Nobels, Lia Block and Tina Hausmann return from last season, while Britain’s Ella Lloyd has received a full -time place.
Calendar of Academy F1 2025
For the second season, the F1 Academy is taking place exclusively on Formula 1 weekends this season with seven rounds, starting at Shanghai in Grand Prix Chinese Prix to Grand Prix from March 21-23.
Jeddah follows April 18-20, before two trips to North America with Miami on May 1-3 and a first visit to Montreal on June 13-15.
Only one European event is in the calendar this year, Zandvoort on August 29-31.
The F1 Academy returns to the complicated Singapore roads on October 3-5, before the end of the final race in Las Vegas on November 20-22.
F1 Academy weekend format
Weekenddo weekend of the F1 Academy race will have at least five dirty action sessions.
The first practice will take place on Friday morning of a race weekend, before qualifying or an additional practical session later during the day.
New for 2025 is an opposite network race for race 1, as the first eight qualification are rolling to determine the initial network. Those who qualify in the ninth to 18 place will begin in those positions for both competitions.
Race 2 will take place on Sunday morning with the initial network set by the qualification results.
Academy Points System F1
Two points are given for the pole position and one point is given for the fastest lap in each race, if you finish in the first eight for race 1, or Top 10 for race 2.
The opposite network race will have fewer points on the offer, so only the first eight will score points: 10-8-6-4-3-2-1.
The 2 race uses the same point system as F1, so the Top 10 will mark points: 25-18-15-10-8-6-4-2-1.
