After just one competition of the new Formula 1 season of 2025, there is a great point of technical talks after FIA decided to grip into Flexi-Wings in front of this weekend’s Grand Prix Grand Prix.

The 10 F1 teams will have to go through tougher tests of back -wing flexibility from Shanghai onwards, or face the possible disqualification for an illegal car.

After the so -called ‘mini -drs’ controversy of last season about the flexible level of work seen in the back of some teams when running rapidly on the right track – an episode who saw McLaren agree to make adjustments in the design of Azerbaijan GP – FIA confirmed in January. Further season than many parts are able to flex.

“Basically the gap in the back side between the main plane and the fabric that moves for the DRS, there is a definition of what that trench is,” explained Sky Sports F1‘S Bernie Collins in the last episode of F1 display.

“They apply a load for this and they are trying to ensure that when they apply that load, it is not defined by a certain amount. This was allowed to deviate by 2 mm and now only allowed to bend by 0.5 mm. So they have really reduced the amount they can deviate when they place the load on it.

“What is interesting is that they have done it so quickly, so all teams are currently transferring everything from Australia to China.

“Anyway that (it would have) failed (new tests) last week, there would be a big turn to spend this week, which makes me wonder if they think the teams would pass with the current configuration.”

Threefold series Waming W. Jamie Chadwick shares her thoughts on all negotiation points by Grand Prix Australia

The new deviation boundaries for the back wings were introduced by the first round of last weekend in Melbourne, while the additional concerns about the front wing flexible are being addressed in the test changes being presented by the Spanish GP of June, the ninth round of the season.

But after fresh intrigue about the back-arm bending in the new 2025 cars in the pre-season testing last month led to FIA’s additional monitoring in Melbourne with additional cameras placed in cars during practice sessions, the management body informed early Mondays of a fresh side of what will now be allowed to move the upper side of the wing. Static tests from the second season round.

While FIA confirmed that all cars passed the tests in the country in Melbourne and therefore the entire network was legally developed, it had decided from estimates and analyzes in Albert Park that “sufficient bases exist for a tougher test” was in place from Shanghai onwards.

Sky F1 Ted Kravitz reflects on all the big points of talks from Grand Prix Australian

Sky Sports F1 Pit Lane Ted Kravitz reported some of the best teams that controlled their back wings in Melbourne, which is likely to be an even greater theme in Shanghai with new tests.

Ted said: “I saw McLaren doing their tests. I saw Ferrari doing their tests. You can hardly see the logos of some sponsors for all contact points adhesives that were in different pieces of wings for all teams throughout the weekend.

“The question for me is, clearly this is one or two or three teams that fast on the teams they think are in some kind of gray area for this.

The best of the action from the first race of the Formula 1 2025 season at the Australian Grand Prix

“The only thing that is in the back of my head is, is how much teams will have to have, who think they will be in trouble to say FIA, ‘Look, that’s completely impossible. You can’t expect us in a back-back to build completely new wings’.

“If this is the case, then I think it will be a big question, but something in the back of my mind tells me the teams that are extending borders with Aero flexibility would have to say,” OK Bring your new rules if this is what you want to do “, knowing that they would be able to cross them and they would have them from Australia.”
