“Rugby’s League has given me the honor of representing my country, eternal friends and memories that I will cherish forever.
“For Manly, thank you for giving me my first 18-year-old opportunity. For Roosters, my home. Thank you Robbo, Nick and all those who were part of my time in the club, your support and guidance formed me in a player and most importantly, the man I am today.

He has won 22 hats for New Zealand, including the Rugby World Cups, as well as playing an important role in the Kivis race in the finals in 2013.
The head of Hull Kr, Willie Peter praised Waere-Hargreaves for his heritage in the sport and what he has brought to Robins.
“First and most importantly, Jared is a family man, a men’s leader and a really good person. He is certainly one of the best ranks of all time,” Peter said.
“Jared standards are there with the best I have seen. It helps direct our culture and our intensity levels every day in Hull.
“This is Jared’s full retirement to retire at the end of the season. We were actually going to Amsterdam and that was the first time we talked about it. When we spoke around 2026, Jared said he would make his decision and he said until the end of the season would be time.
“Jared deserves to retire on his conditions. He must surely come to the top of his game and he is doing it at the moment.”
