Fenerbahce manager Jose Mourinho has been submitted to a four -match suspension and fined 35,000 pounds after the Monday Moon’s draw against Galatasaray rivals, who accused the Portuguese coach of making racist statements.
In his post -match comments, Mourinho had said that the Galatasaray bench was “jumping like monkeys” after an early challenge and also said the match was better to refer to Slovenia Slavko Vincic than Turkish officials after both clubs demanded a foreign meeting.
Galatasaray then described their intention to “initiate criminal proceedings regarding racist statements made by Jose Mourinho”, and claimed that he had made “humiliating statements directed at the Turkish people”.
On Thursday, the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) issued decisions made from its professional football disciplinary board, which imposed sanctions on the chief of Fenerbahce on two particular disciplinary issues.
Mourinho had, said TFF, come to the judges’ room and directed his “humiliating and offensive statements” to the fourth official, who was a Turk.
The Portuguese coach also “accused Turkish football of chaos and disorder for offensive and offensive statements to the Turkish football community and all Turkish judges”.
TFF said that “Mourinho’s actions and statements that insult the value of the football activities brand in Turkey” were considered, with a two -match detention decision from both the stripping room and the touch line, as well as a fine of 117,000 Turkish lira (£ 2,500).
Regarding his post -match press conference comments, the TFF said: “It was determined that the statements used against the opposing team members were not mandatory, contrary to the ethics of the sport and the concept of fair play, contain expressions that could encourage violence and disorder in sports, were divided and divided into society, sport. ”
As such, a fine of 1.5m TL (£ 32,655) was placed along with another two -match stop.
Sanctions mean that Mourinho will not be in Dugout for the next games of the Fenerbahce League against Antalyaspor, Samsunspor, Bodrum and Trabzonspor.
Galatasaray, who runs the six -point Fenerbahce at the top of the Super Lig, would add a fifth star to those who are already on their ridge if they provide a 25th evil title this season.
