Joseph Parker took only two rounds to knock Martin Bakole, a high level of high level weight that entered the shortest possible announcement to replace Daniel Dubois, on Anb Arena in Riad.
Bakole was trying a feat that was probably without precedent in the sport. When Daniel Dubois, the IBF World Champion, became ill just two days before it was due to Parker’s war, Bakole decided to replace it.
Traveling from Kinshasa to Dr. Kongo, Bakole landed in Riyadh in the early hours of Saturday morning to take Parker, another heavy weight ranked in the world, later that night for the latter’s temporary title.
Parker diligently hit in Behemoth 310lb. But Bakole cut it with a difficult right shortly before the end of the first round.
The two gloves intercepted with respect and then Bakole allowed themselves a short moment of celebration. He liked his beginning.
Fighting in gloves borrowed from Dubois, Bakole marched after Parker in the second round.
There were risk allusions from the bakole while stacking the punches in the body, then the head.
Bakole visibly shocked the new Zealander cross and came for him.
But Parker then leaned over his right. She caught the bakole high on her head. This robbed him of his balance, his feet shook from below him and Bakole crashed.
Bakole used the cords to stand up, but the judge would not let him continue, ruling him in 2:17 of the second round.
“Martin Bakole, thank you for accepting the flight challenge all the way here with short notice and giving me a good fight,” Parker said.
“I stayed calm, structured, composed and got the victory.
“I am capable, strong, healthy and sharp. Andy Lee destroyed it for me. I had to be patient.”
The WBO temporary belt means that he must be the mandatory challenger for their world title, held by the unified champion Oleksandr Ulyk.
“How can I fight for the other world title?” He stated. “If Ustyk wants a dance partner. I want to fight for a world title, I want to be the world champion again.”
Gallant Padley was beaten down
Shakur Stevenson defeats Josh Padley after three knackdowns in the ninth round forced the corner of Briton to throw in the towel and pull it on rest.
But getting the world champion of lightweight WBC weights that deep in the war is its type of triumph for Padley.
Tuesday Doncaster Electric was going for his day’s work. Little did he realize that within a few hours he would take the opportunity of a life to enter a short notice to replace Sick Floyd Schofield and challenges Stevenson in Anb Arena in Riad.
Stevenson’s beating is a monumental task for anyone, let alone a warrior who would never compete at that kind of level. Stevenson, an elite champion, had already won world titles in three weighing classes and is in his prime minister.
A quick, brilliant Southpaw, the American star took Padley’s mass in the opening round. He quickly closed the distance between them in the second and caught the Challenger plucky.
Padley took hits and retired with manhood when he defeated. But there was a fast breast as well as skills.
Stevenson chose the cleanest shots in the third round. He closed it with a strong one-two strong and Padley had to change his legs beneath him as he tried to keep his calm.
A cruel left background stuck in the body in the fifth round reserved Padley reserves.
Stevenson began to give up on him in the sixth round, hitting Padley with hooks and launching in a long lead. He put him further for him. But Padley raised her around at a clinic and hooks handcuffed in the sample, still weak.
So often when the challenger seemed to be ready to be discovered, he would find a way to fight again or hang there.
But eventually Stevenson penetrated. Although Padley threw the canvas into disappointment when he went down, body shooting crushed it on the canvas three times.
His corner brought him out, beaten, but a fighter who should be rightly and proud.
