Lauren Price rejected Natasha Jonas’s Jibi in her attempt to win the Olympic medal.
Jonas World Rivals Champions and IBF, WBC and WBA Welterweight World War Cups at Royal Albert Hall Friday, Live on Heavenly.
Pricemim was a golden Olympic medalist at the Tokyo Games in 2021, but Jonas was not afraid of that appreciation.
“When all the good people had left,” Jonas told Price’s Olympic victory.
“You can have credentials on paper, but when it comes to the professional ring, I don’t think she had it.”
While Claresa Shields and Savannah Marshall had returned professional with the time the award won its gold medal in the middle weight, the Welsh star still had to overcome a list of elite opponents to reach the top of the podium in Japan.
In the Tokyo Games, Price had to defeat boxers like ATheyna Bylon (a world champion and silver Olympic medal), Nouchka Fonijn (a silver Olympic medal) and Qian Li (Gold Medal in Paris 2024).
Responding to Jonas’ Barb, Price said Heavenly: “She doesn’t know what you’re talking about.”
Price, who also won gold in the world, European and Commonwealth as an amateur, said: “At the end of the day she is just saying that you try and get under my skin. It won’t work. It is all that it really has taken.
“To reach the Olympic Games and stay at the top of the podium, there is no simple way, there is no easy way. Even to qualify, even to get there. So she is talking a little waste there.
“I respect it. It is an Olympic,” the Jonas Award added. “I respect anyone who gets in the ring. But you look at my amateur background, the most decorated amateurs to get out of GB, I’ll have people who envy me a little.
“I don’t notice any announcement of that. I focus on what I am fine, on what I can achieve. And it can think of what you want.”
Pricemation is convinced that it will grow in the case against Jonas.
“I like to be under light. Some people don’t like it. I love it. Don’t make me wrong, training is difficult, but such night, under the lights, when you win and get your hand raised, it’s special,” she said.
“I feel like I wasn’t really proven tested still. I feel like Tasha brings another level from me if I’m honest.
“But I believe there is much more to come from me.”
She is expecting Friday’s war to be a historic moment in her professional progress.
“We talk about the night – it will be historic. But the opponent Jonas is the name it is, I believe it makes me bigger inside and outside the ring,” Price said.
“So I’m excited about that. I feel like it’s a turning point in my career. But it’s a war that I know I will win well. I’m just very well.
“I talk about my inheritance, greatness and is a stone in step to get there with this war. It is a mass war. A massive British war and starts on March 7.”
