Lewis Hamilton says he is “empowered” for his first campaign with Ferrari after making his first official public at a F1 event at the beginning of the Sports season on Tuesday.
Hamilton was given the biggest night’s joy in London’s O2 Arena when he came up with the new teammate Charles Leclerc and team director Frederic Vasseur while F1 2025 Ferrari lives.
Ferrari will develop their launch Wednesday on their Fiorano test path, as the SF-25 develops a shakedown in the hands of Hamilton and Leclerc.
“The word I think about is enlivened because I feel so full of life and so full of energy because everything is new,” Hamilton said in F1 75 live.
“(I am) just focused on what is ahead. I’m very proud to be part of the team, so young and exciting for me.”
Hamilton’s transition to Ferrari is the largest in F1 history as he continues his search for an eighth world record title.
If the field is as close as expected, the 40-year-old may have a car capable of fighting for victory, and therefore the championship this year.
A better indicator of the Peking Order will be seen in the pre-season test in Bahrain on February 26-28, directly Sky Sports F1.
“My first weeks have been absolutely extraordinary and I have seen the passion and dedication of the whole team first, so the discovery of my first scuderia HP’s first car today is really exciting,” Hamilton added.
“So much hard work has gone to preparation for the season ahead and we may not be more hungry or determined to succeed. I came a year with so much prediction for this new chapter, and I am even more With energy from the spirit and confidence of everyone I met over the past month.
“I can’t wait to go out on track with Charles, push each other ahead and do everything we can to take the team to the top.”
