Luke Littler believes he is playing the best he ever has “on a steady basis” after finishing another Premier League victory on the fifth night in Brighton.
On a night where both Luke Humphries and Rob Cross amazed the crowd with sensational nine-nine ends, the champion of world reign came with victory over Michael Van Gerwen and Chris Domey, Then ended a 6-3 comprehensive victory over Nathan Asinall in the finals To move only two points behind the humphries at the top of the table.
Brighton’s victory is Little’s second night’s night victory and the third final of the 2025 tournament after defeating Humphries on the Two Night in Glasgow, losing in the world No. 1 in Exeter.
Littler had entered the fifth night of the largest Dart road as the newly crowned UK champion in the United Kingdom following his demolition of James Wade in Minehead, choosing his fifth trophy on TV in just 10 months.
At the top of his World Championship victory and UK open victory, Little had also won the Grand Slam final, Premier League and World Series in 2024.
With Little’s highlight in every aspect of the professional circuit, it is no wonder the 18-year-old thinks his arrows can give him true confidence as he now turns his focus on the euro tour.
“Luke (Humphries) was clear, but with her losing I was just focusing on my game,” he said.
“Out of the UK’s back Open I was playing really well and I think I played very well tonight, that’s why I chose another trophy.
“My main goal is undoubtedly the four leaders and I do it in O2 which is where the right title protection takes place. My eyes are now in the euro tour.
“I have always been confident in my ability. But the way my arrows are coming in the minute is probably the best I have ever played on a steady basis.”
Littler will open his protection for the Belgian arrows of Lecot open against Ryan Searle or Darryl Pilgrim, after confirming the draw and schedule for the 2025 European PDC opening event.
Littler landed an unforgettable nine-nine conclusion on his way to praise in Wieze 12 months ago, denying Rob Cross in an attractive decision-making to triumph in his debut on European tournament.
