Jack Draper moved one step closer to a first clay title in his career while printing Matteo Arnaldi in straight groups to reach the Madrid Open semifinal.
The British No. 1 Bagyed his Italian counterpart at the opening set, and although Arnaldi showed a touch of more struggle and skill in the second, Draper claimed essential rest in his fifth match on his way for a pronounced 6-0 6-4 victory.
The victory, closed in just 77 minutes, creates a fourth last clash with the winner of Lorenzo Musetti and Gabriel Dialo of the quarterfinals and holds the course draper for a second Masters 1000 of the year, after Indian Wells in March.
She also sees the 23-year-old Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic in place 5 in the ATP world rankings.

Talking to talk Heavenly After his victory over Arnaldi, Draper, who did not face a resting point, said: “I feel stronger every time I play.
“The last two years coming to the clay I felt against these boys I would always be the one on the back leg, I would always be the one who defended.
“The rest of my game was just getting strong, becoming more physically capable of doing things I know I can do and harass these boys. My effort is doing a lot of damage and I want to continue it.
“I’ve done everything in all the fields well enough and I’m excited to go on. Hopefully we continue to gather.
“I am just well prepared. I really work hard every day and do all the right things outside the court and in court. When I go out to play, I have a feeling that will be okay because I am so well prepared.
“I know I can win every match and lose every match. I’m afraid I might lose, but it helps me compete as I do.”
Gauff dismantle the SWIEK champion protection
Coco Guff attacked Madrid Open’s semifinals, dropping only two matches in a 6-1 6-1 dismantling of defensive IgA Swiate champion.
