Katie Boulter was cured of the loss of the first four games against Katerina Siniakova to reach the second round of open Madrid.
Boulter prevailed 4-6 6-2 6-1 like Siniakova, ranked 57th in the world and 17 places under British No. 1, withdrew to their first meeting.
Siniakova made a fiery double break to lead 4-0 before Boulter fights again to level the opening group.
Expired czecheke again forward and a dual buller guilt gave it the set.
There was controversy shortly after the boulter served clearly at 1-0 forward, but the call did not come and there was confusion after both players spoke with umpire in length.
Siniakova eventually allowed her opponent to serve again, but was clearly affected by the incident as Boulter walked into her first victory in Madrid.
