Raducanu: Energy was missing in recent months
“I was just so focused on every point and I was trying to compete. That was my main target today,” Raducanu said Sky Sports Tennis.
“I was just trying my best at every point and bringing some energy and competition. Maybe this has been missing in the last two months, so I was really proud of it and it’s good to win.
“I was playing a tough opponent, new postcards are so dangerous, so I was glad I managed to come.”
Speaking about the confrontation with Navarro in the next round, Raducanu said, “She can maneuver the ball well and there is a lot of variety.
“It is cheating on how difficult it is especially hitting. We are quite similar to our construction and our game, I think it will be an interesting match, and one I barely wait for, and I think now I have no pressure.”
