Chloe Watson will defend her European Flight Weight title against Jasmina Zapotoczna on the historic boxing card of all women at Royal Albert Hall on March 7.
Watson, who is trained by former world champion Ricky Hatton, is the latest addition to the event, which is headed by the unification of the world’s lightweight title among British rivals Natasha Jonas and Lauren Price.
Watson captured the European Flight Weight Crown with a unanimous point of victory over Justine Lallemand in December 2023.
The 24-year-old was scheduled to make the first defense of her belt against Zapotoczna in September 2024, but a shoulder injury forced the war to postpone.
Watson said: “I think Jasmina is a good fighter, but it is a very dangerous time to fight me and I will seek to put on my best performance, but to come on March 7 and what platforms and shows to do it. ”
Birkenhead Fighter is looking forward to appearing on Undercard of Merseyside Jonas boxer, who inspired Watson to start boxing when visiting her school after the London 2012 Olympic Games.
She added: “Gray is good to be on the same card as Tasha Jonas which was a massive model for me growing, coming from the same area and high school, it has always been a great inspiration for me.”
Zapotoczna won her hit in Watson’s European title with an impressive victory over previously unwanted Maisey Rose Courtney in July 2024.
Born in Poland, but based in Wakefield and fighting under the British flag, the 30-year-old will seek to disturb another high perspective after her unanimous decision against Courtney.
Zapotoczna said: “I am honored to be part of such a historic boxing event and I cannot wait to get into the ring with Chloe.
“Chloe is the perfect opponent for a European title war and I know this will be an extremely competitive battle. But that’s exactly what I expect – from me and from a real championship war. I’m ready to ‘ I give everything and give you a show to remember. “
He also confirmed on Wednesday was Francesca Hennessy’s opponent, with the 20-year-old taking over Carla Camila Campos Gonzales of Bolivia.
Already confirmed along with the title of title is the protection of the Caroline Dubis’s lightweight title against the senior WBC contender of the Shin, an exciting showdown of all weights between Karris A Artingstall and Raven Chapman and the Creator’s professional debut of the Olympic history Cindy Ngamba against the reign European champion Kirsie Bavington.
