Nathan Asinall achieved his title of European tour girls with an 8-4 win over Ryan Joyce in the European European trophy final.
Askinal – noisy from a crowd of capacity in Gottingen – produced a series of heroic shows on the day of the finals to search for his first PDC title since his world triumph in July 2023.

After starting his campaign with a last-foot victory over European champion Ritsie Stedouse, Asinall came through another decision maker to sunk Jermaine Wattimena in an exciting 16th affair.
He then on average 106.72 in a 6-1 break of the world No. 1 Luke Humphries, before Gary Anderson came out in an epic semifinal aided by a 170 skin saving conclusion on the penultimate leg.
Askinal continued from where he left to compete in the 4-1 lead against Joyce, and although Newcastle’s thrower lowered debts on a lonely foot in one stage, Asinall proved very strong.
“It felt like it was written in the stars,” accepted the former UK champion, which sealed the deal with a crate of two arrows 72.
“That’s what I needed. It will help me believe in myself and it shows that I’m still good enough to compete against the best boys.
“Because of the situation I have been with in recent years with injuries and arrows, this is probably my most proud moment.
“The crowd was incredible. The support I received was amazing. This honestly means so much to me.”
Joyce – As ASPinal – also broke the new terrain this weekend, beating four winners of the TV title to advance in his European girls final.
The 39-year-old launched his campaign with a whitewashed victory against Joe Cullen on Friday before throwing a Belgian Dimitri Van Den Bergh in the second round.
Joyce continued his accusation with difficult wins over the world number four Rob Cross and Cameron Menzies, which he followed with excellent 7-5 success against Michael Van Gerwen in the semifinals.
Menzies booked his place in the quarter -finals with an extraordinary decisive foot victory over Mike De Decker.
Protour PDC will resume with the 9-10 player championship in Leicester on March 31-1 April, before the European tour of the tournament continue with international arrows open in RIASA from April 4-6.
