Kate Tracey, Sam Boswell and Declan Rix choose their potential winners for the latest renovation of Boylesports Lockinge Stakes, Live from Newbury to Sky Sports Racing on Saturday.
Eight runners are set to go to post over a mile for group competition one in Berkshire, who was won the last term by the audience when he was allowed to escape the front edge under Rab Havlin.
Rosallion heads the early market for Richard Hannon, making its first start since the landing of Stakes Stakes Palace Stakes at the Royal Ascot in June. Gemini dance, visible speech and Tamfana also appear in a stellar race – which is live in Sky Sports races at 2.35 p.m.
Tracey
“I was really trying to get Rosallion In but you go around the horses, passing through each before you come back and think ‘why are I complicating that?’ I was so interested in him for Guineas 2000 when he was beaten by the visible speech, though there were some unfortunate stories there that day. We know that the apparent speech entered that very conditioning race for his name from all sisters last season, rather than Rosallion went there fresh.
“Oni a portion between Rosallion and the visible speech now and I know that the latter was not in his best at St. James Palace, but I don’t think anything was beating him on that day given how he was. doubt. ”
Sam Boswell …
“RosallionThe first fresh record for the first time would not remove me at 7/4. I’m going with a half full glass approach and the troubles are, where can Richard Hannon put this horse for an easy start for the season? There is no one – he will have to get the best. I am really excited when I saw it again and surprisingly it took me a while to warm it up, for some reason I was unjustly moving away from his ability.
“We saw what he can do in Guineas and then he went and returned that shape to St. James Palace. The market will probably tell him all – we saw that in a good effect on last week’s trial in the derby – and there are so many perspectives with each runner, but I am putting my own colors in Hanno’s master. -Grava -Rate in the last two weeks, so they hope it’s all the systems that go for rosallion.
Declan Rix …
“I think it’s right to say that the two main horses here are rosallion and visible speech in shape. I am really looking forward to seeing how they have done physically during the winter because they have not run within a few and are both really strong travelers and will be their first season output.
“I know he was a two-year-old who had his first run as a three year old, but we saw what could happen to a horse that had his first beginning with the Lion in the winter, you can be fresh and you can be gas. Before we get into it, they are the type of rosallion features and especially the visible speech.
“If they are a little fresh, I hope we can have a renovation like last year, with horses being released from the end end. Sean Levey will take Rosallion again to get it set and (William) Buick will do the same with the visible speech, given that they are two horses that would be comfortable over the seven furlongs.
“I’m hoping for a scenario similar to last year and that led me to Main artist – 22/1 is a big price! He has had a run, Gosdens have won two of the last 10 renovations and if you take a look at his origin, he is from Dubawi from a mare called Obligatory – who comes from an absolutely incredible family Juddemon.
“Bank Hill’s likes are there, as well as Cacque, Champs Elysees and Dansili. He will be better this year and I really hope that Newbury will not wear any water overnight because the better the land, the better his chance. High, be front front to get loose and do it.
“Don’t make me wrong. He’s not as good as Rosallion or visible speech, but he has had a run and I hope he can grind them in submission to the day.”
