Joe Highsmith won his title of PGA Tour’s girls after a tremendous turn on the last two rounds of Cognizant Classic in PGA National in Florida.
The 24-year-old had to make a five-legged kick in the last, just to cut Friday half on Palm Beach gardens, leaving him eight strokes, just to load the manager’s chart with an extraordinary weekend comeback.
Highsmith scored the back-back with seven under the 64th to load through the field and set the club’s target on 19 under, with the last 36 holes of America the lowest in the tour history and providing him with a two-shot victory.
He is the first nine -year player in the PGA Tour to win after doing the number number, following from Brandt Sineker’s 2016 Farmers Insurance Open Success, with Rory Mcilroy among other players who have reached this century.
Highsmith described his fourth round without Bogey as “probably the best of my life”, with four birds in five holes from the nine key to put himself in strife.
At the same stretch of the holes at night, Jake Knapp-following a wire-wire win, his chance to win after choosing to play his ball from water to 11th, failing and then marking a triple seven trio.
Highsmith finally ended two of the compatriots Jacob Bridgeman and JJ Spaun, who posted rounds 64 and 66 respectively, with Max McGrerevy and Ben Griffin three strokes back in a fourth part.
KNAPP which marked a story of history 59 on the day of opening-ended up in a sixth part after a last round 72, while Jordan Spieth ended up in a ninth part and Shane Lowry claimed to be linked to 11 under 13.
Highsmith win means that he will win automatic entry into the remainder of the PGA Tour signature events this season, along with an invitation to his great debut next month and a place in PGA Championship.
