Woods has not reported at an official event since it lost its cut in Open last July and played a limited schedule in the last seasons, with the 15 -time champion undergoing surgery in September to ease the “rear spasms and pain”.
The 49-year-old would return to the Genesis Invitational last month, just to withdraw from the event after his mother’s death last week left him “just not ready” to compete.
Woods was expected to compete in PGA Tour in front of masters, Live April 10-13 on Sky SportsAlthough he accepted his mother’s passage and engagements with the PGA Tour policies board, they have made them not possible.
“This is the third time I have touched a club since my mum passed, so I really didn’t get into it,” Woods said after losing Jupiter links to the Atlanta Drive GC on Tuesday.
“My heart is not really practicing now. I’ve had many other things to do with the tournament (PGA) and trying to do other things. Once I start probably feeling a little better and start getting into it, I’ll start looking at the schedule.”
Woods sat on the hero World Challenge in December – an event he usually plays – because he was not “Sharp Tournament” to show up, then used a golf cart while racing along with boy Charlie in their Play -off loss in the PNC championship later that month.
The five-time Masters champion was seen playing Monday at the Pro-Ambean Seminole-a long event at the Golf Club Seminole in South Florida along with the former PGA of America Seth Waugh, the captain of Ryder Cup Keegan Bradley and the former NBA Pro Battier.
Field for players will be confirmed on Friday, in front of the tournament Live March 13-16 in Sky Sports. If Woods choose to spend all the swinging in PGA Tour’s Florida, this would leave it likely to go to most of the men of the year without any golf tour in 2025.
