Manchester United coach leader Ruben Amorim announced “We are fighting for our work” as he diverted attention from the Marcus Rashford Saga who embraced the club in January.
Rashford left United, who sat 13th at the Premier League table after suffering seven losses at Old Trafford this mandate, joining Aston Villa with the end of the season.
During his press conference on Thursday afternoon, before Friday’s link to the fourth Round of Leicester at Old Trafford, Amorim was asked about the conclusion of the agreement.
“We are fighting for our work until summer. I just focus on these games,” he said.
“Thankfully for Marcus, he is in Birmingham now, with UNAI (Emery), so you can get the questions these months to another coach.
“We are focused only on our players at the moment.
“I knew when I chose this profession that you have the risk of results and I already knew when I came here.
“I looked at the schedule. I looked at the team and realized that my decision to change everything, making these difficult decisions in the middle of the season – without new signatures – it’s a danger to a coach.
“But from day one, with good results or bad results, I have a clear idea of what I want to do and take these risks because, after all, I think it will be repaid.
“But I’m not naive; I already said many times that this is a sport of results and we are in a difficult situation.”
United allowed Antony, F also Malacia and Marcus to leave the club with a loan, with young defenders Ayden Heaven and Patrick Dorgu the only inomings.
The club had appeared near the signing of Mathys Tel by Bayern Munich, but the 19-year-old in front of this was joined Tottenham with the end of the season.
Analyzing the window, Amorim ALtedo for the idea of United are experiencing short -term pain for long -term benefits.
“What I think is the club is taking his time,” he said. “We know the team’s urgency at the moment, but I think everyone here doesn’t want to make the same mistakes we’ve made in the past.
“We need to improve the players we have, win some games and then, during the summer, we will see. We are really careful with transfers because we have made some mistakes in the past.
“It’s a moment that it’s hard to turn things into a few matches. It will be so – really hard – by the end of the season.
“We want another thing in our team, we want profiles and that’s my area, so it was my decision to make it (not to make majority changes in January).
“We’re taking some risks, but it’s the way we want to go on. We can improve our team. We’ll have time to train because I’m always complaining to not have time to train.
“Now we have time to train. We will improve the team, players. I want a certain kind of player, another profile and we’re changing right away.”
