When you appear in an NFL game, you greet you with a clear American spectacle. The way they experience sports is different from any other country in the world.
I have experienced an NFL game in my life again in December 2023 when I saw New York Jets take over and beat Houston Texans 30-6 at Metlife Stadium in New Jersey.
Undoubtedly I was an American football beginner entering this game, but immediately withdrawn from the way every single game is his spectacle: Tailgating is a holiday like no other, fans not only wear jerseys, but have hats, beads, scarves, sunglasses all with their team’s logo, and the match is also fun.
“Protection” calls (or is that “protection?”) Ring around, with fans assigned to each attitude loaded with the riding of the crowd. Tears flow while the American anthem plays before the beginning.
There is a special patriot for this sport and they really believe that nothing else is competing with it. Similarly, Super League fans are significantly partisan in support of their hometown clubs and believe that no other sport can compete with them.
Now, Rugby League is given one of the largest stages of NFL to show why it is.
Similarities and cross
When Super League, NRL and Rugby Women’s international connection combine at the Allegiant Stadium in the world’s entertainment capital, Las Vegas, they will be in charge of showing Americans just because it is a sport they may love.
The point of sale is easy, right? Is like NFL without pads. But there is something deeper than her after Wigan Warriors and Warrington Wolves participate in what can be a seminal moment for the sport.
In the Super League, there are stories and ‘exclusivity’ that people can take behind.
Wigan Warriors are teams to defeat – the equivalents of Kansas City bosses, who are looking for their third direct victory for the title. Can they stop?
On the other hand, there are Warrington, who have experienced levels of heart buffalo bills ‘Oh so close’. Four major final appearances and four losses. There are not four direct losses of the Super Bowl like the 90s bills, but only winning a big one would make up it.
And let’s not bypass the extraordinary story and the rise of the winning offensive line of the Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl, Jordan Milata.
While he did not do it at NRL, Australian was playing Rugby League for South South Sydney Rabbitohs in 2017. After the video clips of his dominant game found their way to the NFL leaders, he was invited to join the International League player program.
Milata was elected straight to the end of the 2018 draft 2018 based on that potential, and six seasons later, he played in over 80 games, won the Lombardi trophy and signed a $ 64 million contract.
Can NFL talent scouts again interest on Saturday?
A seismic case …
The case will not be lost in these clubs.
They are at the stadium where Kansas chiefs City beat San Francisco 49ers on overtime in 2024. They are where Taylor Swift celebrated with Travis Kelce. They are where her tour Eras played in her record race. They are where Usher performed his performance half time. They are where Wrestlemania will be held in April. They are where over 40,000 fans were filled to see the NRL to launch this concept again in 2024.
While the fans of the Super League may be more accustomed to a pre -match peg watching their local hometown heroes, they will donate their shirts and go to the bar to celebrate the typical fashion of Las Vegas, embracing the moment for what it is.
