The Center of England Tatyana heard believes that interchangeable combinations within the squad and skills will be essential in their follow -up for the next title of six women nations.
Red roses are looking to equalize their best victory of the successive title – seven. They also have their attention to a part of history, though, as no sides have ever recorded four major clashes.
After the 67-12 victory over Wales, in which Ellie Kildunne scored a Hat-trick rehearsal, England is now preparing to face Ireland on Saturday, Heard saying their execution and treatment will be vital to win another victory.
“Our execution is massive. We want to make sure we are climbing those last passage,” Heard said.
“So you want to be able to try things. You want to be able to be brave in everything you do. So things will happen.
“Mistakes will happen, but we want to make sure they are minimal, and I think it’s the type of what every team wants to do, but that’s something we are trying to join ahead.”
After their victory over Wales, Red Roses coach John Mitchell appreciated their good start with new combinations, but said his team lost momentum in the second half.
Supporting partnerships will be essential to addressing this problem, with the hearing based on her Gloucester Hannah Jones teammate in midfield.
“The construction of these relationships is great,” Heard added.
“Having combinations that suit how we play is great, and make sure we know how each click of us and how to get the best from one another is really important.
“I have tried to build it with meg (Megan Jones), but equally, trying to build it with everyone else in the squad to make sure we have received all our combinations properly.
“Meg likes to get involved in everything and has a great energy and is really in a loud personality, while Hannah (Botterman) is much quieter and reserved, but both of them like to bring a physics to whom I connect.
“It has been really great for a few changes for the six nations.
“They both bring very different games, and it’s really interesting to be alongside them because both are so knowledgeable about the game.
“For me to be able to learn both and adapt my game based on what I am playing with it is something I am trying to learn and grow up.
“Gray is great to have people who are so versatile with different combinations, really exciting.”
Red roses hoping to repeat success over improved Ireland
England defeated Ireland 88-10 in the six nations last year and will hope to repeat that success in the Mussgrave Park in Cork.
However, Ireland is leaving a 54-12 success against Italy and will use their home support for their full advantage.
“They have had a great game game in recent months and have definitely improved,” Heard added.
“You can’t deny that it was a class show from them, especially against Black Ferns in WXV.
“But we just want to focus on ourselves and make sure we are improving. We are definitely trying to continue to adapt our game as we go.
“This is one of the really important things to us, so we will make sure we can do it to hope to stay on top.”
England’s red roses travel to face Ireland in Mussgrave Park in Cork for the third round of six women nations on Saturday 12 April (4.45pm).
