Scotland’s hopes of reaching the Cricket World Cup of this year’s women were completed in a thriller with the latest ball against Ireland, who squeezed home from a lute in Lahore.
The Scots had to win to stay in the quarrel for a double conclusion on the qualifying tournament and seemed to do little thanks to their Thanksgiving to Brillian 131 of Kathryn Bryce – a new Scottish record.
Bryce’s knock carried her side to 268-7, with Ava Canning, leaving with 3-48 to keep Ireland competitive.
They still needed to make their highest chase ODI to end the event in a positive note and their follow -up went up to the wire.

An attitude of the opening of the century between Gaby Lewis (61) and Sarah Forbes (55) placed them well, but the wickets began to drop in a hurry, including three for irresistible frosts.
She had only seven to defend in the finals, though, with Canning, a life limit from the third ball before it was clean from the fourth. Needing two of two balls to win, Cara Murray and Laura Delany (57no) both grabbed with foot to seal a dramatic victory.
