Tiger Woods and PGA Commissioner Tour Jay Monahan have issued a statement saying they are “dedicated to the Golf reunion” after a White House work session with President Donald Trump.
Also present on Thursday were PIF governor and golf chief Liv Yasir al-Rumayyan and PGA Adam Scott player director.
“We have just finished a constructive work session in the White House with President Trump and he Yasir al-Rumayyan,” read a statement from Monahan, Woods and Scott.
“Thanks to President Trump’s leadership, we have begun a discussion about the reunification of golf. We are committed to moving as soon as possible and will share additional details as it is appropriate.
“We share a passion for the game and the importance of reunification. Most importantly, we all want the best players in the world who play together more often and we are committed to doing everything we can to give it results to our fans.”
President Trump himself had commented earlier that he had “interesting discussions” as part of efforts to solve a professional golf schism between PGA Tour and Liv Golf supported by Saudi.
Trump, who has been deeply involved in trying to end the division for years into professional golf, appeared at the White House for a black history month event after meeting Woods on stage wearing medal His presidential freedom, while Monahan and 2013 The scott master champion were in the crowd.
“I’ve always tried to swing just like Adam. Never worked that way,” Trump said, adding that he “had some interesting discussions” with players.

Woods, a great winner 15 times, worked with Scott and Monahan on the matter, but lost his initial meeting because his mother had died recently.

Liv Golf attracted some of the best players in the world after being founded in 2021. The best players from Liv and PGA Tour play each other just a few times a year.
Trump played Golf with Woods on 9 February at his club in West Palm Beach, Florida. Trump gave Woods the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2019.
