Tom Curry has suffered a fear of injury just one day after being elected to the British and Irish Lion team.
Curry left during the first half of the prime minister’s collision with Leicester with a foot injury.
“It was a hamstring problem that would need assessment,” Rugby Alex Sanderson’s sales director said.
“Tom is a tough guy and he tried to finish it for 10 minutes, but he had to come out as a precaution as we have to rotate our team before a hard run.”
In the sale of the match she matched their opponents with five efforts, but the exemplary blow of Handre Pollard’s purpose proved the difference. Ollie Hassell-Collins and Emeka Ilione both scored two attempts after Leicester got a 44-34 win in a pulsating competition to make them favorites set for a Premier League semifinal.
Leicester tracked 26-16 at one stage, but their bonus point victory receives second-country tigers seven pure points of the remaining league matches, one of which is a home match with the Lower Newcastle club.
Pollard lost nothing by kicking three penalties and five conversions, with Adam Radwan also on the Leicester exam sheet.
Rob Du Preez scored two of Sale’s efforts with Luke Cowan-Dickie, Ma’asi-White Rekeiti and Arron Reed also passing George Ford converting three and adding a penalty.
It took less than two minutes to open the result. They won a penalty at the first scrum and from the resulted line Cowan-Dickie moved to the line.
However, the response was quick after Tigers built a stable pressure period before a break from Pollard sent Radwan flying for the seventh arm test in six since joining the club from Newcastle.
Pollard converted and added a penalty as it was a sale in the scrap, but the local team continued to resume.
This gave the sale an offensive platform and they made it count when Ma’asi-White ran a good line from a good pass by Du Preez to avoid Freddie Steward and Score.
Ford returned on sale at 12-10 lead at the end of a first annoying trimester.
A second penalty from Pollard placed his side forward, but the supremacy was short -lived as an elusive Ford running for the protection to send Reed to positions.
The sale subsequently suffered two rapid strokes. First, Curry left to be replaced by his brother Ben, before Pollard reduces debts with his third sentence.
With the last movement of a surprised first, Sale gathered their bonus point when a pumped Ford sent Du preez before converting to leave his side with a well-deserved advantage 26-16 half time.
The sale began the second half strongly, but essentially lost some opportunities to score and they were made to pay when Hassell-Collins collected a cross-polish blow from Pollard to finish in style.
A few minutes later, Hassell-Collins scored his second when he was tied in a lost pass to beam the protection of visitors with a clumsy run on the line.
Pollard returned, but Ford hit a penalty to leave the sale following only one point of 18 minutes left.
The game was in equilibrium, but the sale was becoming prone to mistakes and poorly disciplined and cost them after Ilione finished a riding line, but visitors immediately responded with a second test for Du Preez.
At the last minute, Jonny Hill sell blocking was sin and Tigers took advantage of the full advantage when Ilione again ended a driving line to leave the sale with only one point.
