Vincent van der Voort has aimed at his other former professionals in the PDC tour, saying “there are many fanboys Luke Little”.
He did not make a sensational start to protect his Darts Premier League crown, winning four of the eight events to maintain his position at the top of the rankings.
Van der Voort, who withdrew from the arrows in early 2024, singled out two of Little’s latest victims, Stephen Bunting and Nathan Asinall, accusing them of being very beautiful for the sensation of adolescence.
He said, “Everything small, they are giving punches or smiles.”
Van der Voort has called on players to raise competition in the Premier League – and supported by Dirk Van Duijvenbode to do it only.
World no. 29 Van Duijvenbode will not yet win a major television range event and was not among the eight players elected for the Premier League 2025 season, but Van der Voort said he would prefer to watch it.
“Compared to some of the players in (Premier League) now, I would see much more Dirk,” he added. “There is always something that is happening when he plays.
“Some players simply appear and act as the perfect groom, but that doesn’t bring much excitement.
“There are a lot of Little’s fanatics now, so it would be good to see Dirk in the mix. He goes up to compete against him and does everything to win.”
Where does the Premier League go further?
The Premier League continues in Uber Arena, Berlin on Thursday April 3, while Michael Van Gerwen and Gerwyn Price Clash in a Titanic meeting, while Luke Little gets Chris Domey.
