Virat Kohli says India’s team is “ready to take the world for the next eight years” after winning a second white ball title in nine months.
India defeated New Zealand with four Wickets in the Sunday champions trophy final in Dubai after defeating South Africa in the T20 World Cup final in Barbados.
While Kohli, 36, and Captain Rohit Sharma, 37, are probably in the stages of closing their careers, opening Shubman Gill, 25, may be a linse for the next decade.
To emphasize the force of India in depth, Abhishek Sharma – which destroyed 135 out of only 54 balls against England in an international T20 in February – and Yashasvi Jaiswal – which sits fourth in the ranking of evidence – were not chosen for the champions trophy.

Kohli said: “I think we have a team that is ready to get the world for the next eight years.
“There is so much talent in the dressing room. They are trying to get their game further and we (older players) are simply happy to be in their aid, sharing our experience.
“That’s what makes this Indian team so strong.
Kohli greets India’s tireless work and team effort
India has now won two Global ICC events since it has been bored by Australia on the home field in the 5023 World Cup final in Ahmedabad after winning all their 10 games in the tournament.
Kohli added: “You want to play (for titles), playing under pressure and putting your hand. Everyone has put their hands up some time or another on the tournament.
“Everyone has done influential shows, we have been part of an amazing team, the amount of work we have done in practice sessions, feels good. It has been amazing.”
Wicketkeeper-Batter Kl Rahul (34no off 33 balls) instructed India to a target of 252 against New Zealand with precisely a length to save as Rohit placed the tone with 76 shipments on top of the order and Kohli was dropped down the second ball for just one.
Heavenly Pundit and former England captain Nasser Hussain said that after India made it five wins from five in this year’s champions trophy: “They are the best team, with the best filling formation, the best Wicketkeeper-Batter spinners, the best captain.
“They are also better supported. You can’t argue with that.
“India beat everyone quiet. Even when under little pressure there, they had the cute and quiet head of Rahul. It was similar to their semifinals against Australia.
“Instead of one of their biggest in the fire viral, it was the other in Rohit playing a gem of a case.
“Then all -inclusive, Rahul and Hardy (Pandya), saw them over the line. A great show from India, again.”
Kohli: We’ve always been in fear of New Zealand
Kohli also had words of praise for New Zealand, for whom Glenn Phillips received a stunning grip on the cover to reject Gill in the finals.
Kohli said: “We have always been scared of what they can do with the limited number of players they have had over the years, and simply maximize their talent.
“Whenever we played against them in big games, we knew they would come with a certain plan. No team in World Cricket executes plans as well as them.
“Credit to them to be the most stable team in the last shifts. The reason for this is the tremendous confidence in their abilities.
“They are easily the best side of the field in the world, so a great cry for them. They continue to show why they are one of the best teams in the world.”
