Hull Kr kept their winning start in the Super League alive as they held a 14-12 win in a difficult battle fighting Wakefield Trinity at the DIY kitchen stadium.
Before a crowd sold and the biggest participation in Wakefield since 2008, it was Hull Kr who had the advantage at rest, Tom Davies’s 100th career tries to meet a Max Jowit penalty convert to hitting half time while the hosts went to 6-2 down.
Wakefield fought again in the second half as Tom Johnstone passed with a flying effort, but a penalty of Rhyse Martin and Mikey Lewis’s attempt placed Robins on top.
With Micilorum’s Michael Mcilorum of Hull Kr, losing the last five minutes after being sent to sin for a high blow, Oliver Pratt went to the corner to give Wakefield a glow, but the jawitt could not be converted to Bring the game level and, from there, Robins remained calm under the late pressure to see the victory.

Despite the victory, Hull Kr will sweat in the Lewis gym who left after choosing an injury to the marking act and was then seen in crutches with a protective shoe at the end of the meeting.

It was an electric atmosphere as Wakefield fans enjoyed their first home match since their return to the Super League, but it was Hull Kr who took on top in the opening passages.

They received their reward for their efforts in the sixth minute while Davies took the ball that jumped the intersection bar to run under sticks, Martin returning to give visitors a 6-0 lead.
Despite Robins who finished their sets well and bending Wakefield near their line, Daryl Powell’s team showed their offensive game and discipline to wait for the storm and keep themselves tightly in the competition.

This saw them boldly protected as Hull Kr threw his arm and finally took points on the board from the back-back penalties starting with Lewis hitting in a Wakefield player on the floor, Jowitt converting the penalty while going Hooter half to set the competition in equilibrium at 6-2 in favor of KR.
Robins were quick to restore their four-point advantage while Martin sent a light penalty to go 8-2 forward, but only four minutes later the local team was hit back, Johnstone flying up in the corner by a Miss pass Jowitt and complete -the compliance that comes in the clutch to bring the level of results to 8-8.

The results were not level for a long time, though, after Lewis was briefly, the points welcomed it but the damage coming from him not after the royal man of steel seemed to fight with his ankle while his team moved again forward with a 14-8 advantage.
After Lewis was finally thrown into the stage in the field in the 69th minute with the damage better improving it after 10 minutes, Wakefield tried to curse their arm but could not execute until Mcilorum was sent to sin Sin and Wakefield used the advantage of their player.

This saw Pratt passing into the corner and sending the stadium to a rage, but, as Jowitt was unable to increase the fierce conversion to bring the level of results to 14-14 wins from two games.

“We have a team. We know that. We have lost some boys too. We have a team we think we can compete in the first end, we just have to try it.
“We were a little unlucky tonight, that time after scoring our test it changed a little, promoting it in full.
“But I thought we were extraordinary, we hanged there and found a way to bring ourselves to be at the level. What is what it is, a difficult game, but we will get a lot of it.”

“We’ve been in two tough matches now, but this is what has to do with the pre -season, to prepare you for this. At the end of the day we got the score in both, and that is all that matters .
“To see that the boys dig in the way they did was massive. Everyone comes to each other and that’s something we take pride in. We really appeared for each other, especially when we were a man down.
“It’s a great victory for us, we’ll get a lot of confidence from it.”

The second round of the Super League continues on Friday when the night ‘Luke Little’ takes over in Warrington while the wolf faces Dragons Catalanas, Live in Action Sky Sports from 7.30pm.
Warrington is then in action in Las Vegas when they get Wigan Warriors at Allegiant Stadium, Live on Sky Sports on March 1 from 8.30 pm. Meanwhile, Dragons play on Friday 28th when they make a trip to play Leight Leopards, Live on Sky Sport Action from 7.30 pm.
