Amazon says that Alexa+, the new and improved Alexa discovered on Wednesday, is powered by a “agnostic” system that always uses the “best” model of it for a particular task.
On the scene at a New York City press event, Amazon VP Daniel Rausch explained that Alexa+ attracts to the Bedrock – the company’s cloud platform created to allow organizations to experiment with AI generating patterns – to strengthen its various skills.
Among the models that use Alexa+ are Nova, the generating family and the generous model of Amazon; as well as models from close partner and associate, anthropic.

“(W) built a sophisticated (model) course system (to match) any client request with the best model for the task in question, balancing all the requirements of a fresh, conversational experience,” Amazon explained in a blog post.
This “agnostic” approach enables what can be considered “agent” skill. Alexa+ uses a new system called “experts” for special tasks, Amazon says. Experts orchestrate and execute Amazon’s services, as well as those from third parties, such as the beginning of the means of generating Suno music.
Rausch said on the first day, Alexa+ will work with “tens of thousands” equipment and services.
Some of these include news services. Amazon says he is a partner with publications including TIME, Reuters and Associated Press to provide information about current events, financial market movements and more.
This only scratches the surface of what Alexa+can do. According to Rausch, Alexa+ can navigate websites to complete tasks on behalf of a user. For example, it can find a professional to repair a broken oven looking online, and even contact directly at the repair store.
“Alexa takes a few minutes to navigate a website (and she) returns and tells me it’s done,” Rausch said on stage. “I will get a notice on my phone that lets me know (when Alexa is over.)”
Experts also allow Alexa+ to coordinate numerous services immediately, Rausch said. For example, making a dinner reservation through the opentable, then booking a Uber at the restaurant and writing plans for a contact. Developers will be able to get into this functionality through Alexa he multi-agent SDK, which is soon starting in a preliminary view.
