AMD has its work cut out for it at CES 2025. Competitor Nvidia has been sucking the oxygen out of every shadowed room as the chipmaker remains at the forefront of the AI boom. So how will AMD compete with the reported Nvidia RTX 5000 announcement? The company should show off its next-generation GPU.
As part of an ongoing rebranding, the RDNA 4 cards could come as either the RX 8000 or RX 9000 series. Regardless of the name and number the company is in, AMD has its work cut out for it at this year's show.
Presser starts on the early side at 11am PT/2pm ET on January 6. The company explains, “AMD senior vice president and general manager of the Computing and Graphics Group, Jack Huynh, along with other AMD executives will be joined by partners and customers to discuss how AMD is expanding its leadership in the PC and games. and highlight the breadth of the company's high-performance computing and AI product portfolio.”
