Anthropic on Thursday launched a new way to connect applications and tools to the chatbot Claude he, as well as an extended “deep research” skill that allows Claude to search online, enterprise accounts, and more.
The new feature of the application connection, called integrations, and the expanded deep research tool, called Research Advanced, are available in beta for subscribers at Claude Max, the team and plans of anthropic enterprises, and soon pro. In the interconnected, anthropic news has also increased the limits of the norm for his AI coding tool, Claude Code, for Max customers.
Advanced integration and research are both part of anthropic’s attempt to maintain rhythm with competitive chatbots like Google Gemini and Openai Chatgpt. Anthropic is reported to be hoping to reach $ 34.5 billion in revenue in 2027, and while it is certainly making entry, it has a long way to make. Anthropic annual revenue was about $ 1.4 billion in early March, according to a report.
Integrations are based on the company MCP protocol, which allows models of it to attract data from sources such as business tools to complete tasks, as well as content depots and application development environments. Integrations affect MCP to allow developers to create and expect apps of applications that improve Claude’s skills, and let users discover and connect these servers to Claude.
“When you connect your tools to catch, it gains deep context about your work – understanding project stories, tasks statuses and organizational knowledge – and can take action on any surface,” anthropic wrote in a blog post.
To begin with, there are a number of integrations from anthropic partners, including Atlansian, Zapier, Cloudflare, Intercom, Square and Paypal. Each expands what Claude can do. For example, Atlasian integration allows Claude to summarize and create pages in the Atlassian workplace program, while Zappier integration allows Claude to connect to the work flow of the previous application.
As for the onset of new Claude features, advanced research, it allows Claude to crawl “hundreds” of internal and external resources to give what anthropic describes as “more inclusive” reports on a topic in somewhere from five to 45 minutes. Advanced research can benefit from newly enlarged Claude connectors, Anthropic says, to search for integration and-where use the Claude Desktop app in Macos or MCP-related Windows Windows.

“With its new ability to do more complex research, available when switching to the research button, Claude breaks down your request into smaller parts, investigating each deeply before compiling a comprehensive report,” continued anthropic in the blog post. “When Claude includes sources information, it provides clear quotes that are directly related to the original material.”
There have been a number of deep search tools recently launched in chatbot such as Gemini, Microsoft Copilot and Xai’s Grok. Their leadership are the “reasoning” models of he, who possess the ability to think through problems and control the facts important for conducting deep research on a topic.
Anthropic research remedy was previously one of the fastest tools in the deep search category, taking about a minute to compile reports. But the results tend to be shallow, in part because the research did not use a reasoning model.
