The Bluesky Social Network will soon give its users more control over who can respond to their posts. Confirmed by Bluesky developer Paul Frazee, Bluesky will add a new “only followers” environment that users can configure to limit the answers. This means if you always want to limit your answers to followers only, for example, you may have.

On X, users can choose between a set of response checks, including “all”, “accounts you follow”, “verified accounts” and “only accounts you mention”. You can also post in specific communities in which you are a member, which also limits their achievement.
In the meantime, on topics, users can choose between “anyone”, “profiles you follow” and “mention only”.
Bluesky has so far adopted a similar set of settings like its rivals, allowing users to limit their responses to their posts for “all”, “no one,” mentioned users “and” followed users “. (In addition, you can combine the last two options with every list you created.)
Offering an “only followers” response option is a new twist, and what the phrase says can help “go less intense viral” by also reducing “context collapse”.
