Just weeks after Google said he would review his diversity, net capital and inclusion programs, the Google Founder Funds Fund’s Fund’s Fund’s Fund website is full of changes. Especially Google is now using TENSE TENSE to describe all its funds programs for subconscious founders.
This is a change that happened after December, according to the Internet archives. And the site currently says there are zero funds available.
The Google’s starting founders fund began in 2020 to provide monetary grants, mentoring and product support for beginnings with subordinate founders, including women and those of African and Latin origin.
The site says it has provided more than $ 50 million in support to more than 600 founders. In addition to capital, the founders received product mentoring and support, such as Google Cloud loans.
But the grant landscape – especially on the programs that the minorities have been aiming for – has changed a lot since 2020. Some technology founders and investors that Techcrunch spoke to ask what would happen to provide programs, such as the Google Startup Funds, amid strong political and legal attacks on any program labeled “Dei”.
Programs listed as “past” funds on this site now include the Fund of Women’s Founders, the Latino Founder Fund, the Ukrainian Support Fund, the Black Fund Fund, and the Brazil Black Founder fund.
Moreover, the site says that “zero” grant programs are currently available in each region, although programs that transe the founders to its products and US accelerators for beginnings in certain industries (energy and climate) are accepting applications.
It is unclear which of these programs has officially completed, has been suspended, or is being restructured in other ways. The Google’s response when asked about their status was unclear, but meant a focus of departure away from the underwear founders and towards the beginnings of it.
“We have not yet opened applications at the SH.BA for Google for starting funds in 2025. Google for Startup is supporting all past groups of founders in our Alumni community. In 2025, we will invest in the beginnings focused on the US and we will share more specifics on a later date,” said one spokesman.
Google turns away from the other language
Techcrunch observed other changes in the language of the websites of this program.
In December, the site specifically said that grants “provided more than $ 50 million to support the under -representation founders”, while today, the word “under represented” has been removed.
A page archived from January 21st, Google used to describe the purpose of the program as “financial support for under -represented communities” and “to help the underwear and at risk of building and growing their businesses.”
Currently, Google says the program offers “financial support for innovators” and practical support “to help the founders build and grow their businesses.
Google did not respond to our request for comment on language change on the site.
Last month, Google and other technology giants, such as Meta and Amazon, began adjusting their dei formulations and activities as the Trump administration pressure on the public and private sector to restore such programs. Google announced earlier this month that there would be no more diversity targets and also removed Dei’s mention in its annual 10-K presentation.
Reuters reported this week that companies that have publicly distanced themselves from Dei have done the opposite in private, revealing the delicate balance businesses they are facing today as they seek to avoid Dei’s legal challenges.
At the same time, the US grant programs targeted towards specific segments of the under -represented communities have been under attack for a while. The famous famous fund had to choose a lawsuit over his grant program for black women founders and close the program in September. Paypal is currently being sued for his commitment to black and Latino founders on allegations that he discriminates against other races.
