There are three inevitability in life: death, taxes and technology platforms that make design changes they do not like worldwide. The latest victim of this phenomenon is the Apple Mail app, which received a large redesign in IOS 18. This update is also ending in iPads and MacBooks.
The new Apple Mail design divides emails into categories, such as primary, transactions, updates and promotions. He also gives a photo of each sender, which matches the new features of the company’s brand for businesses throughout the iOS ecosystem.
While some users see the redesign visually uncomfortable and difficult to navigate, others find that they are more likely to lose important messages, which is understood not ideal.
In all social media, IOS surrounded users have described this update as “completely unsafe”, “impermeable” and “so ugly”. Some have gone so far as to want UX application designers to “be supervised”.
Thankfully, there is a way to turn off these updates without manifesting this unimaginable rectal pain in the world.
- First, open your mail app to iOS 18.
- Find the three -point menu in the upper right corner of your screen.
- From there, select “List View” instead of “categories” like your show.
While this at least turns your box to whatever configuration you have had before, there is still a lot of visual mess, as contact photos still appear in the app. This can be appropriate when you are writing through messages because you probably have contact photos for your friends and family. But in your mailbox, it really doesn’t help see a small yellow shopping bag near any single email from a retailer – especially after numerous technology blogs and newspapers I agree to get the flag with the same icon as H&M or anthropologies, which are seemingly a different kind of business.
To get rid of contact photos in your iOS Mail app, follow these steps.
- Open the settings app on your iPhone.
- Go to the bottom of the screen, where you will see a section called apps.
- From the app menu, move until you find the Mail app (or just write the Mail on the search bar to save yourself five seconds solid – life is short).
- Under the List of Messages List labeled, change the option that the show Show Contact Photos reads.
Finally, your mail app is free from the mess – well, in addition to those Electronic promotional posts from H&M and anthropology that you do not really open anyway. Maybe it’s time to get a bunch of posts lists? You are yourself for that.
