Kraffon, South Korean Games known for titles including Public: BattleGrounds and BattleGrounds Mobile India (BGMI), has gained a controlling action in the 12-year-old Nautilus Mobile Games for $ 14m in a deal with all money.
On Friday, South Korean Games Company confirmed to Techcrunch that it has won a “north of 75% of the shares” in Nautilus, the games of popular games for its genuine centered exclusivity.
The work -based studio will continue to operate independently after the agreement, which is expected to close by the end of the month, with all its 45 employees left on the Nautilus salary list, Kruffton told Techcrunch.
Founded in 2013, Nautilus has collected millions of downloads for its true cricket franchise, which currently has five titles, including Cricket 24 and Real Cricket Premier League.
Kraffon aims to strengthen the “essential competence” of nautilus in mobile cricket games-where the demand is high in India lovers with cricket-refining its existing titles in the short term and exploring new genres in the long run, said Sean Hyunil Sohn, CEO in Kraffe India.
“Our development skill in Nautilus will help Kraffon double in its gaming strategy in India, and together, we can certainly build more games, more genres, both for the Indian market and for the global market,” CEO told Techcrunch.

The company plans to expand the presence of nautilus to other geography over time.
India’s mobile game market is growing continuously, driven by a large base of new smartphone users. Mobile games dominate the country’s general game industry by spending, accounting for 77.9% of total revenue for the Niko Partners market intelligence firm. The firm also estimates that the country’s mobile games will increase from $ 640 million to 2023 to $ 1.1 billion by 2028.
Kaffon, who saw 119.3% increase year by year in its net profit last year at approximately $ 889 million (KRW 1.3 trillion), sees India as a promising and key market to continue its success. However, most of India’s growth has so far come from her flag title for local audience, BattleGrounds Mobile India (BGMI), which hit her highest sales last year and exceeded 200 million downloads.
The company has other titles, including Bullet Echo India, Road to Valor, and Cookier. However, they have not yet helped repeat the success story of the game Battle Royale, a localized version of Public.
The deal can help Kaffon move beyond BGMI and explore new ways of success, including cricket and other sports games, to attract new players.

In 2020, the Indian Enterprise of Digital Entertainment and Technology Jetsyntheshes won a 100% stake in Nautilus Mobile. This was followed by the strategic investment of $ 5.4 million in 2022.
Sohn told Techcrunch that while the Nautilus potential was the reason for the initial investment, Kraffon found his role as an interested party of minorities that were limited to supporting the development of studio content. Winning a controlling stock, he said, would allow for deeper cooperation and greater involvement in the essential efforts of development with nautilus.
“We strongly believe that cricket games have a lot of potential. And we want to work with Nautilus to make the best effort possible to really realize the potential of this market, not only in India, but in other countries playing cricket and other countries that are becoming more active in crickets,” Nihansh Bhat said, Techcrunch.
Jetsynthesysys will remain a “important minority” investor in Nautilus Mobile and will continue to work with the studio in areas, including Esports. The company has already worked with the studio to help its true cricket partner with teams, including those associated with the Indian Premier League, the world’s most lucrative cricket tournament.
“We, for a long period of time, will want to see, of course, income growth, user base growth, improved keeping, all ordinary things, and hopefully new deals too,” Bhat said in the question of how Kaffone would measure the success of the deal after it is over.
So far, Krafts has invested over $ 200 million in India, excluding Mobile Nautilus.
20% of Kraffon investments in India have been in the games and games conventions, although the company also invested in Indian beginnings, including the Cashfree payment platform, Audio Kuku FM platform, and influenza marketing platform One impression. He also supported funds, including lumages focused on games and the first IMM Investment Fund.
“We are seeing the opportunity for purchases, moderate investments and even business cooperation with prominent players in the country,” Sohn said.
Nautilus will join the other 14 Kaffon game studios operates in markets around the world.
