Internal customer support platforms are moving from platforms like e -mail ticket systems and chat on channels like Slack, Microsoft teams, and even Discord. But with Slack, for example, able to organize hundreds of channels, the whole thing can become quite useless.
Simple, outside the UK, thinks he has the answer. Its first API platform consolidates all of these communication channels, allowing businesses to direct their support.
“It means you can talk literally with your customers wherever they are,” CEO Simon Rohrbach told Techcrunch for a call.
He can also talk and email in the same way that a traditional aid desk will, such as Zendesk or Intercom, but also Slack power, Microsoft teams, or discord through a UI.
“It is really quick to use. People really like to use it, and it has all the traditional functionality of support, metrics about SLA, reaction times, etc., ”Rohrbach said.
“We see this great change that is happening from support by really silent, to support the work along with the success of the client and engineering and all the other teams really closely. And we empower that collaboration internal too, ”he added.
The beginning has now raised $ 15 million in a series A -led funding round of Ventures battery, with constant participation from the Ventures and Connect Ventures index.
Funding will be partially used to create its first US office in San Francisco.
Plain was founded by Rohrbach and Matt Vagni. Both have previously worked in Dreadoo since the early days, with Rohrbach Leading Continous 40-Person content, research and design team of Rohrbach, while Vagni worked on design systems and interior tools.
Customers for simple include companies like Sanity, Laravel, Stytch and Raycast.
In a statement, Neeraj Agrawal, a general partner of ventures batteries, said: “B2B support is going through this new era of cooperation and he.”
However, Plain is not the only player in the business of gathering these client support channels. There are also Thena and Pylon in SH.BA.
Last year, Pylon landed $ 17m investment to build a full -service B2B customer service platform, in a round led by Andreessen Horowitz with participation by existing investors general Catalyst, Y Combinator and other unnamed angels . There are now over 250 clients.
Meanwhile, Thena has raised over $ 7 million and included Lightspeed and the first round capital as investors.
