It looks like humanoid robots have a long way to go before being caught with human runners.
Beijing’s E-Town technology center waited for what he described as the first half of Saturday’s first humanoid world, with 21 humanoid robots competing along with thousands of people.
Bloomberg reports that the winning robot, Tiangong Ultra, was built by the X-Humanoid Government-supported Institute and completed the race in two hours and 40 minutes. This would not be an impressive time for a man-winner the winning man of the race ended within an hour and two minutes, and it is normal for random runners to finish half a marathon in (Brag alert) under two hours.
Tiangong Ultra needed human help to win – specifically a man who ran forward with a signaling device on his back, enabling the robot to imitate his movements. (Most other robots were remotely controlled, with human operators running next to them.)
The other robot had at least three hours to complete the race, and only four robots in total managed to end before the time of the four-hour interruption, according to Bloomberg. Some robots barely made him cross the start line – for example, Shennong removed a human support runner, then slammed into a fence and shattered. At one point, Little Giant (the shortest competitor, 30 inches), forbidden as the smoke came out of his head.
Beijing E-Town humanoid robot robot presented robots built by Chinese companies as well as student groups. (Unree’s G1 robot fell on the start line, but the company said a client had used the robot without its algorithms.)
To compete, the robots had to have a humanoid view and run on two legs. They ran into a special lane, surrounded by people, with amazing start time to reduce the risk they would get into each other. Battery changes were allowed (Tiangong Ultra battery was changed three times), and replacement robots could even be exchanged with a time penalty.
The main technology official of X-Humanoid Tang Jiang told Reuters, “” I do not want to boast, but I think no other robotic firm in the West has matched Tiangong’s sports achievements. “
