Busy weeks, so let’s get to her. Starting with federal regulations! WOOHOO. Exciting things.
I’m talking about US Transport DepartmentThe new automated vehicle framework, which includes a general permanent order (SGO) in reporting clashes for vehicles equipped with certain advanced driver assistance systems and automated steering systems. There were some changes in Automated Vehicle Exclusion Program (Avep).
In short, Avep handles the language and processes of domestic and imported vehicles that take exceptions. I want to spend a little more time in SGO, which has more important changes. The Trump administration says it regulates the process; Others, like customer reports, disagree.
SGO completed a 24-hour reporting request and instead allows companies five days to submit a report if a vehicle with a level 2 system is involved in a collision. According to customer reports, the new order also changes reporting requirements for when a vehicle with level 2 driving automation is withdrawn after a collision.
In the past, any vehicle with an advanced help system for the advanced driver involved in a collision that did not include a fatality or hit a vulnerable road user as a pedestrian or cyclist still had to report it within five days. Now the rule will only apply to advertising vehicles (automated driving systems), which shorten most of the vehicles on the road today.
This means if a tesla that collided with autopilot (or a GM vehicle with Super Cruise or Ford with its BlueCruise system) collides and has to be withdrawn, there is no need to report to federations as long as the incident does not include a fatality, an individual being transported to a medical treatment, a lecturer or a touch of the road, or another. Ayes.
Reporting is still needed for any vehicle with 2 ADAS level (such as Tesla Autopilot) or advertising that is in a collision in which there is a fatality, places an air bag, a person is transported to the hospital, or a vulnerable road user is hit.
During an interview at a traffic light, Secretary of points Sean Duffy It seems to give a knot to those rules (though he says “autonomous” and not “Adas”) when he said, “what we want to do is be able to get good data, but if there is a fragmentation of painting an autonomous vehicle, reporting requirements became very laborious and challenging, and it slowed down the process.”
Do you think I was wrong this? I arrive.
Ok, at the rest.

flaggingBezos -backed start, broke the cover at an event in Long Beach, California. Many of the details that the old reporter Sean O’kane reported in his initial spoon were finally presented to the public.
Earlier in the week, we published some other internal details thanks to some small birds describing how leaders described it within Slate EV as a “transformer” – as in the animated series “more than meets EYE”. It turns out, this is exactly what the company is doing to customers.

Visible readings and other announcements

Autonomous vehicles
General Director of the Sundar Pichai alphabet received attention to remarks while calling the company’s profits regarding its driving vehicle unit path. In response to a question, he said, as part of a longer answer, “there is the next option about personal ownership as well.”
Waymo has unclearly discussed the licensing of its technology (apparently for automotive) before, so I wouldn’t read much in this. But it is certainly evident that Pichai said it in a revenue call.
Tesla He has begun testing his autonomous travel service with employees in Austin and Bay Area before the planned start of Robotaxi Company this summer.
Volkswagen of America AND Jacket Plan to start a commercial robotaxi service – using VW Electrical Autonomous ID. Buzz vehicles – in numerous American cities over the next decade.
Companies expect to launch a trade service in Los Angeles by the end of 2026, though it will initially include human security executives. The news returned to me in 2017-18-an era of partnership announcements, many of which never materialized. VW has a lot of work to do before starting commercially, including acquiring the most basic test permit.

Aidan GomezCo -founder and CEO of Generation he startup Cohe, joined the Rivian Board. I don’t want to read too deeply in the meeting, but it signals Rivian’s interest in applying it in its venture while positioning itself as a software manager – and even providers – within the automotive industry.
Future Faraday In a way there is still its board and has appointed founder Jia Yeting as the company’s co-co-coat, three years after it was removed after an internal investigation into fraud charges. Side Note: An investigation by the Insurance and Exchanges Commission remains on.
Tesla Profits supported a hypothesis that I have cooked in my brain for a while now. The company exists in contradictory realities. In one, Tesla’s profits are reduced 71% YOY, automobile revenues continue to decline, and its energy business is exposed to the US-China trading war. On the other hand, Tesla is really a company and one who finally has the attention of her CEO Elon Musk and is on the verge of starting an autonomous vehicle greeting service and a cheaper EV-not yet to do.
Investors were caught in the Tesla-An-Annovator reality with both hands, and they really do not want to leave-even if the reality is that the anti-muscles are touching the brand and is even an official risk in its regulatory presentation. Musk’s comments about sharing more time for Tesla and less in Doge helped push them there. If you want to catch all the nuggets in the profit ratio and call, move through our tesla profits.
