Over 13 years by reporting to Tesla and its CEO, Elon MuskI have seen the rise, fall, close to losses and the rise of the company and its billionaire leader again. Musk, known for his willingness to take risks, has admitted how close the company came to present bankruptcy before returning it around.
It was that the “in front of them” story scene that helped to turn Musk into a symbol of innovation.
His political approximation with President Trump, and most importantly, his activities as the unofficial leader of the government’s efficiency department, has changed public perception of Musk. But it is Tesla that is getting the highest hit, including a decrease in Q1 sales, Global Tesla Takedown protests and a downward stock price. And the automobiles, who have long followed Tesla in EV sales, are taking advantage of this opening by offering sweet trade agreements and other incentives.
High reporter Rebecca Bellan has documented the moments over the past few months that have affected Tesla. Her article will be updated periodically, so be sure to check again.
Can Tesla be returned? The latest tariffs announced by Trump can help Tesla after her vehicles – and many of its ingredients – are made here in the United States. It can still not be enough protection to stop bleeding. And tariffs are likely to damage the Tesla energy storing business.
The chaos that surrounds the tariffs implemented by Trump will last. As soon as we are starting to see how automobiles are reacting and fixing. Some, as Fordare trying to advance and provide discounts to increase sales in the short term. AND Volkswagen has told traders planning to add an import fee to the price of imported cars sold in the United States, according to the New York Times.
A small bird
A little bird told us while while Tesla Definitely seems to be ready to start a robotax service in Austin this summer, the extension of the vehicle in the city has been scarce. Others like Waymo and Cruise (again when Cruise was one thing) have tried to go down on the right leg by connecting with as many city actors as possible before it began.
Some government officials also shared security concerns about Tesla’s autonomy brand. They worry that Tesla cars may have a more limited awareness of the surroundings as they rely solely on cameras than lidar and radar, for perception.
