In May 2023, Ford caused a transformation when the US automobile closed in a deal to give his entry owners EVS to the Tesla Supercharger network.
In a stunning change, the automobile behind the vehicle – from GM and Hyundai to Rivian and Mercedes – followed the lawsuit. At the end of 2023, almost every major car had agreed to adopt the standard of charging North America of Tesla (Nacs) and promised EV owners that the adapters would soon be on their way.
Many non-teller customers are still waiting. However, the latest notifications from the automobiles can provide an electrical lining of optimism.
Techcrunch is following which brands have access to the Tesla overload network and will update this list.
Shift to the Tesla EV Carication Standard
In November 2022, Tesla shared her model of the EV loading connector in an effort to encourage network operators and automobiles to approve technology and help make it a new standard in North America. At that time, every other car was using the combined charging standard (CCS) in North America.
Massive approval seemed impossible at the time, although the Tesla charging network was considered very superior thanks to its strong and useful model for users and ease of paying EV fluid.
Six months later, Ford became the first to announce that he would operate with Tesla in an agreement that would give her clients access to more than 12,000 super -loaders across the US and Canada. But it was not just about the granting of Ford EV owners access to a particular adapter. Ford also committed to integrating her future EVs with Nacs ports instead of CCS.
Rivian, GM, BMW, Honda, Hyundai, Volkswagen, Porsche, Audi, Hyundai, Kia, Lucid and Stellantis followed.
Tesla accusing the FAB
In the US today, there are 36,499 Porte Nacs publicly available (although some of them may be from other EV loading companies that have adapted the Tesla standard), compared to about 16,925 ports CCS. This is despite the federal dollars that have clearly gone to the construction of CCS chargers.
For EV owners stuck with a CCS port, they will have to keep out for adapters approved by the manufacturer. While there are some third -party adapters claiming to be in accordance with certain security and performance standards, such as Lectron Vortex plugs for $ 199, Tesla’s website says such adapters are prohibited.
A GM spokesman told Techcrunch its adapters were specially designed to protect GM EV batteries during charging and that the guarantee of its vehicle does not cover damage to vehicles coming from the use of non-GM approved adapters.
At the end of August, Tesla posted to X because she had increased the production of adapters. This statement, combined with the GM announcement, may mean that even more EV non-Tets will soon be withdrawn at the Super-Locator Stations. They will all need to download the Tesla app so they can pay for upload.
SUPERCHARGING TESLA INTRODUCTION LIST
Ford
Some Ford clients officially gained access to Tesla Superchargers in February 2024, but continuous supply restrictions have delayed the distribution of fast -speed adapters to most customers (though Ford says delays have affected “some” customers).
At the beginning of 2025, more customers began to receive their adapters.
General Motors
Since September 2024, GM has finally updated the software in Chevy, Cadillac and his GMC EVS so that customers can use Tesla’s superchargers. If they want access soon, they have to buy a “GM” approved adapter through their 25 app.
From 2025 onwards, the GM EV will be built with the NACS loading port.
Honda and Acura
Honda announced in March 2025 that North American owners of Honda Prologue and ACUA ZDX EVS would take NACS access in June. Automaker said he would make the adapters available for purchases from traders closer to the start date.
In 2026, Honda plans to release ACUA RSX as its first EV built with a Port Nacs Charge, followed by Honda 0 series models.
Hyundai motor group
South Korean automatic has made some moves to give EV owners access to Nacs Nacs next year.
KIA announced in September its plans to give EV owners access to Nacs Nagarers starting January 15, 2025. They used the notice as something of a promotion, offering customers buying a 2024 or 2024 EV9 SUV from September 424 a free adapter in early 2025, if there is a sufficient supply. The existing KIA EV6, EV9 and Niro EV customers who received the submission before September 4 will have to buy an adapter from a trader “to a later date”.
But for those who don’t want to bother with an adapter, Kia shared some news in La Auto Show in November. Both 2025 EV6 and 2026 EV9 GT will be produced with a NACS outlet. EV6 is expected to go on sale in the first half of 2025, and EV9 GT in the last half of next year.
2026 Hyundai Ioniq 9 and GV70 GV70 of GENESIS 2026 were also introduced both with Nacs Priza in La Auto Show and promise drivers access to Tesla’s Supercharger network. But for clients who want a Hyundai EV sooner than that, the automobile said in December that he would send customers who bought or rented an EV before January 31 a free Nacs adapter.
Clear
Owners of Gravity Luccid SUV received access to Tesla’s Supercharger network on January 31, 2025. Gravity is built standard with NACS loading port.
People who have already bought Lucid Air’s sedan, built with a Port CCS, will receive access through adapters to the Supercharger network in the second trimester.
Mercedes-Benz
Mercedes-Benz said in January that its EVs would be able to access the Tesla network starting in February 2025. Mercedes offers existing customers the opportunity to buy an adapter made by Lectron for $ 185 through authorized traders. Automaker plans to extract his first vehicles with Porte Nacs installed in the factory later this year. Mercedes has not yet shared which models will come first.
Mercedes has added Tesla Supercharger places to its loading map on the app, and the system will be integrated with the plug and upload feature, which begins charging as soon as customers are entered.
Nissan
Starting in the end of 2024, Nissan began to give Ariya drivers access to the Tesla network through a Nacs adapter. Automaker also said that in 2025, he will start offering EV to US and Canadian markets with a Port Nacs.
Redeem
Ev Rivian’s onset officially received access to 15,000 Superchargers across North America on March 18, 2024. At the time, Rivian promised to start sending adapters to customers starting in April. A Rivian spokesman told Techcrunch Automaker began distribution this spring and continues to send adapters as soon as he gets them.
Since September 2024, Rivian said customers ordering a new vehicle will have an adapter sent to them automatically when they receive the delivery. Customers will receive the adapter within seven to 10 business days. The EV manufacturer also promised that those who already own a Rivian and are still waiting for an adapter will receive one at no cost by the end of January 2025.
Volvo (and polestar)
Two Swedish car brands owned by China Geely began offering their customers EV access to Tesla’s Supercharger network in late October 2024.
Volvo said at the time it will include a free Nacs adapter for any customer buying a 2025 EX90, Ex40, or EC40. Existing Volvo EV owners should require $ 230 for an adapter, which they can buy from a shopping mall or service.
Polester is also selling adapter through its service centers. Both brands began transporting adapters at the end of 2024. Volvo and polestar are also updating their Android power infotainment software so that drivers can look for Tesla navigation superchargers.
Techcrunch will update the list as automobiles gain official access.
