We’ve seen a handful of AirPods-charging iPhone battery cases come and go over the years. Artronic’s new headphones take a different approach, with a slim charging case that clips directly to the back of MagSafe-compatible phones.
Komutr’s buds were announced on Friday, days ahead of their debut at CES 2025. In a sea of fully wireless headphones, the 0.47-inch charging case is the real standout feature. Unlike other versions in the category, these buds won’t actually charge your phone – it’s more about the convenience of always having them with your phone.
The case has a flip-up lid, allowing the buds to be removed while still attached to the phone. The cover also works as a stand for watching videos. The buds themselves are rated at up to 10 hours of battery life, and triple that when the case is factored in.
The company says there will also be “adjustable options for smartphones without MagSafe capability,” but where’s the fun in that? Pre-order opens on January 15th and the buds start shipping in May, priced at $129.
