Delta Skymiles members in the United States can now start earning points when boarding Uber or ordering distribution through Uber as part of an exclusive partnership recently announced between the two companies.
The connection with Delta is created to further connect the giant of traveling to the airport, which historically has been a lucrative segment for Uber. The travel greeting company also announced Tuesday’s plans to expand its new affordable Airport product in Atlanta after successful start in New York City.
Uber airport games come at a time when market insecurity, low consumer confidence and increasing border control are making many Americans withdraw to travel expenses this year.
Perhaps such uncertainty means now, more than ever, price -price customers need to find ways to play the system. Uber customers who joined the waiting list will be able to link their accounts starting Tuesday, and everyone else can start on Thursday.
Here’s how Uber users with Delta Skymiles membership can accumulate miles after they have linked their accounts:
- Uber Ha: 1 mile per dollar spent on order over $ 40.
- Travels to the airport: 1 mile per dollar spent on Uberx trips to and from airports.
- Premium trips: 2 miles per dollar spent on Uber or black comfort.
- Reserve uber: 3 miles per dollar spent on previously booked Ubers.
Uber Riders could not accumulate miles by reserving a trip to the airport, but a Uber spokesman said the client will receive Skymiles from the journey that gives the highest reward.
In addition to the ability to accumulate miles, Uber and Delta are integrating in other ways. Customers who buy a flight using the Fly Delta app will be able to treat a Uber reserve booking so that they can reserve their journey to and from the airport. And later this year, Skymiles members who enter WiFi on their flights will receive a 30% off offer to reserve a Uber for receipt when landing.
