Uber has begun to pilot her adolescent -centered service for adolescent service in India, Techcrunch has learned exclusively.
Uber for teens is live in Bengaluru, Delhi NCR and Mumbai, Uber confirmed to Techcrunch. The company said it will expand the service in the coming weeks to 35 cities, which include Ahmedabad, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai and work.
The service allows parents and caregivers to account for their teens (between the ages of 13 and 17) in order for them to require travel directly using their equipment. It also includes features such as live travel tracking and audio recording of choice.
Custodians can also reserve trips for teens, and they can also set monthly travel limits to limit the number of trips. Uber wants guardians in India to add a credit or debit card to their account to invite a teenager to their family profile. Once added, guardians and adolescents can reserve trips using any payment method, including cash.
Adolescents can also bring with them knights between 13-17, according to the details available on a support site, but it is not clear how the consent mechanism will work.
Uber said he would also perform additional background checks for drivers.
The measure comes nearly two years after the service was started in JBA and Canada, as the travel greeting app plans to grow in India and take over local rivals Ola, Rapido, Namma Yatri and Blusmart.
Uber for adolescents currently lives in about 50 countries, according to the Q4 company score statement last month. The company has also presented special profiles for teens in some markets, letting them pay using their payment methods and cash.
For the last few months, Uber has added some features such as simultaneous trips, flexible prices and prepaid items to take care of the needs of changing Indians. The company has also recently issued commissions in automatic bookings, instead creating a daily reconciliation fee.
