The Omnia is still very much in concept mode – a phenomenon popular in the automotive world that has since spread to consumer electronics. That means Withings’ splashiest product of CES 2025 may never be a product. Among other things, a smart body scanning mirror is likely to be costly for consumers.
According to Withings, Omnia “isn’t just a product – it’s a transformative experience that reimagines the possibilities of digital health.” Certainly the notion of a daily full body health scan is appealing to many potential customers. However, it comes after a decade of failed smart mirror projects.
The “concept product” would offer 360-degree body scans, providing users with insights into weight, along with heart and lung health. Other metrics like sleep, activity and food would presumably come from a connected device.
The mirror itself would be interactive through touch, along with the inclusion of a voice assistant. Omnia can also serve as a telemedicine portal for healthcare professionals, who will have access to user measurements and provide advice accordingly.
Withings says the system is “currently under development,” pending things like clinical reviews and additional AI features. However, he adds that some of the above features will be available in some form through the Withings app sometime later in 2025.
